HANGING OUT WITH GOD (H.O.W.G.) - #15

Stone

Nor
iron bars a cage.
Minds
innocent and quiet
Take
that for a hermitage.

It's
been awhile since I've visited with you, due to a broken arm. Arm is
healing beautifully. I'm typing again, howbeit much slower. And once again sharing my perceptions with you as they flit through
my mind. It is my joy to spend my mornings in meditation and
hanging Out With God. We do have interesting
conversations/observations. These are a few. - Carolyn

As
Time Goes By:
Has
time ceased to be? Will it cease to be? Was it ever?
Maybe it was a true prophecy in the Book of Revelation where it stated
that "there should be time no longer." (Rev.10:6)
Within
one week, three of my four wristwatches stopped running. Hmm. Is that a message that my time is running out (on
this plane)? Or is it a message that I have touched the blessed level of
"Hushed Is-ness?"
(Touch
it but once and the world is magically transformed - for you.) (And - you
are magically transformed for the world.) Neat how that
works. It is a win-win situation.

The
Puzzle of Life
A
piece of the puzzle: What is a puzzle? The on-line dictionary says
that it is a problem that is difficult to solve. It also means "to
bewilder," and "confusion of mind hampers clear thinking."
I
was getting images of a picture-puzzle in my mind. A picture (whole) is
cut into many pieces. The puzzle then is to reassemble the various parts
back into the whole.
Have
you ever seen a picture-puzzle with one part missing? It makes a gapping
hole. It can only be whole, perfect and complete when all parts are
present and assembled.
God
is like that We are like that. God is the
whole - we are the pieces. When we all unite together (individually and
collectively) there can be a beautiful image; then one can see God.
To
see one lone, isolated puzzle-piece looks rather bizarre. When we think
ourselves alone, isolated, we are quirky, jagged, oddly shaped and not
good for much.
The
word "man" means "Mind." "Thinker."
When one become confused in one's mind (consciousness) (thinking ability) one
forgets what one knows. Clear thinking is hampered; distorted. Thus
begins the story of Genesis - and the eons of time that have passed as we
struggled to make sense of things; as we acted as the missing pieces of the
puzzle.

Wise
Serpent or Mean Old Snake?
In
metaphysical symbology, a serpent is a symbol of
wisdom.
What
was the choice we humans made when we "fell" (in consciousness, in
awareness) into a world of form? We could have stayed in an awareness of
God, only, (good and very good), or chosen to experience the sensations of
earth creatures: food, drink, sleep
(naps), and Sex! Some chose to stay with All-Good (smart little angels),
and well - if we are here we know what we chose.
When
the sons of God (Gen. 6) began to have sex with the daughters of the
earth, they produced a race of giants; mighty men of renown.
Ah,
a chain of thought. One error thought begets another, and leads to
another, and so on until the original error thought has escalated into gigantic
proportions. This causes "great wickedness" upon the earth, (godlings in earth-suits;
physical form): worry, regret, delusion of the senses, fear, cravings,
addictions, emotional sensations, etc. etc. etc.
It
takes a "flood," a gigantic bath to wash away "stinkin' thinking."
Is
wisdom (the serpent) evil? No, it
just takes maturity to know how to handle it wisely, to "shoot the
rapids" of temptation.

Give
Me An
I'm
listening to a CD of Buddhist monks chanting "
I
could get lost in that sound and journey to other realms, if I didn't set a
task for myself today: typing this.
Selah's
precious grandson, Colin, (Little Buddha) plays this to go to sleep at
night. He calls them, "The Monkheads."
(I, too, play this all night while I sleep). Colin has the
sweetest, new (to us) baby brother, Caden.
When I first saw the photo of Caden, when he was
first born, I exclaimed: "He looks like the Dalai
Lama!" He truly did. He had the most insightful little smile.
Wow!
Buddha and the Dalai Lama all in one family. How
blessed.
Note
to Baba Ram Johnny who I am told reads this: Still waiting for the C.D. of the
Dalai Lama you promised to send.

Sick
and Tired (of being sick and tired)
It's
a good turning point. I know that some of you have been at death's door - and
had to find your way back.
The
interesting thing about healing is: Your soul (not your
intellect) has to agree to the healing. We are often like a lamp that wants
to work but doesn't have the voltage. Others being with you in spirit can
be of assistance. Love is the greatest healer.

Tears
Into
each life some tears (rain) must fall.
Into
each life - one decides if they are tears of sorrow. .
. . .or tears of joy!

A
Grace
What
a "Grace:" To comprehend by Spiritual
Osmosis how Spirit works in one's life.
For
others, I must also know it. Spirit (Grace) will fill them and
they will then know what is needed. I won't need to direct their
thoughts. My job is to know Spirit
is there.

Or
get out of the boat and walk on the water.

A
wave is pure ocean
A
big wave has great force; a drawing undertow.
Is,
then, a wave evil? If it knocks one down?
A
wave is still pure ocean,
Perhaps perceived by an "evil eye."
Working
with undertow, one learns to go with the flow.
It
will eventually draw one back to shore.

God
Essence!
When
Earth (we) came forth there was darkness on the face of the Deep.
From
darkness comes light. Incubation. Birth!
God
is a concept first - then must be a reality.
The
cause of all suffering is to keep God a concept only.
The
cause of all blessing is to "be still and know."
Physical

Can be tricky.
Study

One

Why
do bad things happen to good people?
Perhaps
a better question is: Why do good things happen to bad people?

Lessons
From A Zucchini
While
slicing a zucchini squash for a stir-fry, the thought occurred to me that if
that little squash had
human consciousness, that would be a cruel and painful thing to
endure. (Humor - food for thought.)
:o)
I
have heard that flowers "scream" when violently taken from the stem.
Good
question to ponder. To what extent does vegetation
"suffer?" For sure, there is an innate intelligence
there. "The Mystery" knows how to grow a seed into a sapling
and then into a tree. The question would be one of awareness.
My
inner self tells me that the plant kingdom is a different placement of
consciousness than man. Therefore it has a different way of expressing; a
different (or lack of) nervous system. And - a
different purpose.
I
was thinking that Jesus said "When a seed falls into the ground
it must die to bear much fruit." I guess it has no memory brain and
celebrates the Is-ness of the moment. It is
a seed. It is incubated and nourished, and stretches to break the
shell and sprout roots. There is a mystical impulse that makes it break
forth from the crust of the earth where it meets sun, rain, and air. The
inherent life thrust causes it to grow and become - a zucchinni.
(Or a flower)
Not
so different from us. The basic design in life repeats itself in
patterns. Us, too.
The
stir-fry was delicious - with white and wild rice.
